Macro at home
It's taken a few years and lots of work but the backyard has finally grown in to the point where I can do some serious macro work without ever leaving the house. Bleeding hearts are one of my favorite flowers. Their unique shape and arrangement make them perfect for capturing a whole branch versus just focusing on a single flower.
My standard kit for backyard shooting is a piece of lightly textured, grey matte board and a spray bottle. These flowers happen to be in a shaded part of the garden that never sees direct sunlight so I didn't need to worry about harsh contrasts. I'll elaborate more on the hows of the technical spectrum in another post.
"Don't cry when the sun is gone, because the tears won't let you see the stars."
Until next time,
